Table Tennis Tips For New Players

Table Tennis Skill

Do you need to improve your table tennis skill level?
Is it only juniors who can improve their skills?

I'd highly recommend getting some good table tennis coaching as early as possible in your playing career. After all, if world class players need coaching, then you do too!Table tennis coaching will help you to improve your skills and can be great fun too.

Then progress to what we really wanted to do ... play table tennis. Each session, coaches would teach u new table tennis skills and we'd have the chance to practice new strokes.

The Table Tennis Grip

A good table tennis grip is essential.
But why is it so important and

what do you need to know? Find out here ...

And table tennis is no different. So let's take a look at probably the most important of all the basics skills in table tennis ... the table tennis grip.

Learning to use the correct grip is vital if you want to improve your game.

Study any of the best players in the world and you'll see that they've all been taught how to grip the racket correctly.

So if you aspire to be a good player, it's important that you adopt the correct grip at the start, as any bad habits will become very difficult to correct later on.

So, whatever your current level of playing ability, I hope you'll find these table tennis tips and techniques useful.

Let's start with the most frequently asked question ...

Which table tennis grip should I use?

The grip favored by most players in the western world is known as the "shake-hands" or "western" grip.Although there are other grips - notably the "penhold" grip used predominantly by the Chinese, Japanese and the Koreans - I'll be concentrating on the western grip that I use.The western grip is easier to learn and does not have some of the drawbacks that the penhold grip has.

Why is the table tennis grip so important?

The table tennis grip is important because it controls the angle of the (paddle / bat) ... And the angle of the racket controls the height of the ball, the depth of the ball, the speed of the ball, the direction of the ball, the type of spin and the amount of spin.

So how should I hold the racketYour fingers should lie roughly parallel with the straight edge of the rubber at the base of the racket head. This enables you to have good control over the racket angle.

The remaining three fingers are wrapped around the handle to provide stability.

The grip should be firm but not tight and the racket should form an extension of your hand and forearm.

This grip should remain constant during play.

My top table tennis tips:

Don't move your thumb and/or first finger towards the centre of the racket because you'll lose control of the racket and increase the chance of hitting the ball with your fingers.

So, as I said earlier, the table tennis grip is important because it controls the angle of the racket, which in turn controls the height of the ball, the depth of the ball, the speed of the ball, the direction of the ball, the type of spin and the amount of spin.

So let's take a look at the three basic racket angles used ...

Racket angles

This is the "ready" position and is used when you're waiting for your opponent to serve.

This is the position used to play a backhand topspin shot or backhand block.

his is the position used to play a backhand push or backhand backspin shot.

The angle of the racket is varied by rotating the hand and forearm.

Although there are other factors, a closed racket angle will generally produce topspin (rotation of the ball away from the player) whilst an open racket angle will generally produce backspin

(rotation of the ball towards the player).

Speedup MMC Apps

To do this you need a memory card reader and a pc. Right put the mmc in your memory card reader and use windows defrag to defragment all the files on your memory card then after the defragment is complete put the mmc in your phone it works 100% cause ive tested it myself and i know it works u will notice your apps open quicker. dont forget to Comment.

Repairing A Corruptted MMC

Correct Treatment of your MMC:
Physically, memory cards are quite fragile pieces of high technology, susceptible to damage from various silly things like excessive heat, condensation, strong magnetic fields, physical damage from rough handling and/or bending!
(similar to most electronic devices then..)Given the natue of mobile memory card products, they are constantly being taken in and out of some form of interface with a mobile phone, a camera, a laptop, or desktop PC, or a separate memory card reader.
The number of different devices they have to be able to interact with is in the thousands. It is not too surprisingly, then that sometimes the state of the file system on the memory card can get damaged. This may happen for a number of different reasons, including:> removing the card from a device whilst an application is trying to read/write to it.. (Just be patient...)> battery drain on a device whilst in use meaning an insufficent voltage failure whilst writing to the card.> a poor implementation of the MMC standard on the device using the card> poor connectivity software drivers on the device or the Windows PC/Mac> physical damage like card or device being dropped, bent, getting wet etc...> lots of others i am sure..
As often as not, the problem is not terminal for your memory card, but just a software issue ( or in physical terms, it could be called "a temporary disalignment of the all the bits and bytes on the card").The fix for this problem is the same as for any other file storage device (like a floppy or hard drive) with corrupt or invalid file system, namely; re-format the file system.Re-Formatting your MobyMemory MMC Card:It is possible that your mobile will offer you the option of formatting the memory card if it is found to be invalid. (However, the likes of Nokia nGage, Nokia 6600, and Siemens Sx1 often just prefer to reject the media as corrupted).
In that case, to format the card, you will need access to one or more of the following:
> A Windows PC or Mac.
> A separate multi-format memory card reader (verify that it is compatible with the MultiMediaCard -MMC- standard).
> (This can come in USB or PCMCIA flavours. If USB, try and ensutre it is a USB2 device.
> Alternatively, many of the newest laptop and desktop PCs now come with integrated Multi-format memory card readers.
> If you are using a separate memory card reader, then connect it up to your PC, and let windows recgnize the device through plug-and-play.Now you can insert your MobyMemory card into the appropriate slot in the memory card reader. (Please note that because the MMC card is pretty much symmetrical it is very easy to insert it upside-down in the slot).Open up [Windows Explorer] (or the equivalent for MAC users..sorry not well-versed in OS X).
There should be at least one icon visible for a [Removable Drive] in the list of available drives. (in fact, there is often a list of about 5 or 6 Removable drives, one for each of the different Memory card formats that your reader is compatible with).
Find the drive that is mapped to the MMC card by clicking on each in turn until it confirms there is a drive present.
(Sometimes it is easiest to do this by trying a fully-functional MMC card in the MMC slot first so you can confirm which drive letter it is.)
(NB. It will always be labelled as a [Removable Drive], don't mistake it for one of your PC hard drives like [C:] drive, as that could be catastrophic later on!)At this stage it may give an error message saying that the drive is unreadable.By right-clicking on the drive letter, it will provide the option of formatting the drive.
Select format the drive, and the [Format Drive] dialog will appear (Double-check again to make sure it not your [C:] drive!).
There is only one setting to focus on in this page, and that is to ensure that the FileSystem selected for formatting is the [FAT] option (not FAT32, or NTFS or any other option)(Note: All mobile phones, to my knowledge, and most cameras (etc..) use the FAT file system (or at least are compatible with it) on their memory card media.)
Now click on Format Now ( ensure [Quick Format] is not selected as this will not actually restore the file system space byte by byte, but only resets the header information so the drive thinks its empty again. This may not be enought to solve your corruption problem.)The PC will now - hopefully!- chug away happily until it has restored the memory card space back to its original configuration (of course, any information on there is long gone by now!).If you recieve an error message back from the [Format Now] request, then your problem may be more permanent, and not just a software issue. In this case, it may still respond to a format request in a different memory card reader or device. If you believe it to be a failure of manufacture, then the warranty on the card offers the prospect of a replacement card, subject to a confirmation of the fault upon return of the goods.

Ever dropped your cell phone in the sink, or even worse the toilet?

Ever dropped your cell phone in the sink, or even worse the toilet?
Did you ever leave it in your pocket and run it through the washer?
It usually means you have to replace your phone, but sometimes if you're fast you can save the phone.
1. Remove the Battery. This is one of the most important steps. Don't take time to think about it, electricity and water do not mix. Cutting power to your phone is a crucial first step in saving it.
2. Dry your Phone. Obviously you need to remove as much of the water as soon as you can to prevent it from getting into the phone. Use a towel or a paper towel to remove as much of the water as possible.
3. Soak in Alcohol. Alcohol is hygroscopic (attracts water), it will dissolve all the water in the phone, which will then pour out of the phone with the alcohol. Any remaining alcohol will evaporate. Alcohol will not harm your phone but may mess up glue (from stickers and the like). Use 95% alcohol, not the regular 70% rubbing type. Do it outside!. If you use alcohol, do not follow the rest of the advice here, instead leave your phone outside for a day or two to dry.
4. Allow the phone to dry. Since you do not want to ruin your phone or lose all the numbers in your phone book, you need to allow the phone to dry. Don't try putting the battery back on to see if it works as this would risk damaging the phone with a short circuit. Leaving your phone in a bowl of dry rice will help to expedite moisture evaporation.
5. Heat your Phone. Apply enough heat to your phone to cause the water to evaporate without waterlogging your digital screen. One of the best things you can do to save a cell phone is to set it on the back of your computer monitor or TV screen over the heat vents. This is usually the perfect amount of heat to fix your phone. The convection action of the heat vents will help carry away the moisture in your phone. Leave the phone on the heat for at least 2-3 days. Another option is to leave it overnight in the oven on warm (make sure to take off the battery first).
6. Test your Phone. After you have waited 3 days, make sure everything is clean and dry looking and re-attach the battery to the phone and see if it works. If your phone does not work repeat step 4. If it still won't work, try taking your cell phone to an authorized dealer. Sometimes they can fix it.

Tips :
* Don't put the battery on for at least 3 days or longer if your digital screen is foggy.
* Place a piece of satin finish scotch tape over your water damage sticker before you drop your cell phone in the water to prevent the water damage sticker from voiding your warranty. This sticker can usually be found under your battery. It's a small round white sticker, possibly with dots on it. If this sticker gets wet it changes color and your phone is marked for water damage.
* Remove the tape if you ever have to return your phone for repairs or warranty. (See the note in the 'Warnings' section about doing this!)
* The best way to dry out your phone is to place it in front of an air conditioner or air conditioning vent. Cold air won't damage your phone (hot air can warp or in extreme cases even melt plastic), and air from an air conditioner is dry, and so will evaporate water faster than you might think (which is why a car air conditioner will de-mist the windshield so effectively, even if the engine hasn't warmed up yet). Warm air from a reverse-cycle air conditioner works even better, of course. If you dry your phone in this way overnight it should be fine by the morning.
* Use a hairdryer set on warm; it won't melt your head so your phone should be safe.
* Use a food dehydrator.
* Use the oven on the warm setting (make sure to take out the battery)

Warnings :
* Don't heat the battery or it could leak acid. If you use an oven or hairdryer, make sure to remove the battery first.
* If you use alcohol make sure to do so outside, and do not apply heat in any form, not even the gentle heat of a monitor. Do not hook up the bettery till the alcohol smell dissipates.
* Do not apply heat to your phone other than mentioned above. You don't want to melt or burn your phone.
* Warranty fraud is naughty! If you dropped your phone in the can with your other 'droppings'--are you really going to send it in for a warranty tech to have to open? Yuck!
* FYI, Most modern phones have more than one liquid damage indicator on them, only one visible to you (and sales/technician agents), and chances are, if the sticker under the battery is triggered (or would be, with the scotch tape trick), then the odds are that the internal stickers you can't access are tripped as well. This will still result in you paying a voided-warranty fee in the long run, and it may be best to just learn from your mistake (and not make it more financially severe!).
* Even if all these steps are followed, minerals dissolved in the water can precipitate on solder and component pins, causing corrosion or shorting. Components pins are packed so closely together in a modern cell phone that even a small encrustation can create a short, rendering the phone inoperable.

Hope It Helps
